Lunch Hours:

11:05-11:35 – Pre-K & ECSE
10:45-11:15 – Kindergarten
11:20-11:50 – 1st Grade
12:20-12:50 – 2nd Grade
12:00-12:30 – 3rd Grade
11:40- 12:10 – 4th Grade & Life Skills

We are now allowing visitors to join us for lunch at Vidor Elementary!

All visitors must provide a valid state ID. Only parents, legal guardians, or grandparents listed on the Emergency Contact will be allowed to visit. No other students will be allowed to join you and your child at the lunch table.

Our cafeteria personnel will be glad to assist you and answer questions pertaining to the menu or student accounts. For more information call 951.8842 or 951.8843.

 

Check Out Procedures

If you need to take your child from class for the day:

  • Check in at the office.
  • Sign for your child to be released.
  • Students will be called to the front office.

Lunch Visits

If you would like to visit with your child during his/her lunch, please be aware of the following:

  • Check in at the office and obtain a visitor’s tag (tag must be  worn while on campus).
  • Meet your child in the cafeteria and have lunch with him/her at the reserved table.
  • Tuesdays and Fridays are designated for Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade
    Mondays and Thursdays are designated for Pre-K/ECSE, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and Life Skills

 

Student Safety

  • Student drop-off is located in front of the cafeteria only until 7:30 a.m. After 7:30 a.m., the cafeteria doors will be locked so students must enter at the main entrance by the front office. Children are not allowed to cross lanes of the driveway unattended.
  • Parent pick-up will take place in front of the cafeteria only. Students will wait in the cafeteria until their name is called to be sent outside. Then students will stand with a teacher until his/her car stops completely.
  • Day Care pick-up is located at the main entrance. Please do not block this area.

 

Teacher Conferences

If you would like to speak with your child's teacher, please send a note or call the office (951.8830).
Please do not attempt to conference during afternoon dismissal. This is a very busy time at Vidor Elementary as we ensure the safe return of our students.

 

Volunteering at Vidor Elementary

We have an active and growing Volunteer Program just waiting for you to join. We invite you to join, support and be active in our Parent Teacher Organization. Schools with active PTO's are stronger and provide more opportunities for school and community cooperation.
